Do you know if these guys do some type of clear-coat protection once they get it rusted? They got to, right?

Re: RUSTED HOODS - VW/BMW rat rod style

I'm not a fan. A friend sent me some pics of it a while back and it was all Hondas, not VWs. All the ones I saw had some sort of clear though which looked better than just straight up rust though.

In very particular applications it's alright, but idk

Do you guys know anyone with one? I found one on craigslist, but he doesn't have any coating over it. I'd wanna talk to someone who's had it for awhile and see what issues they've run into

I don't know how I fell about this I would have to look at it in person. To be honest I think alot of stuff done in the Vdub scene are kind of ridiculous tho. I think you should not copy it if you don't have a much older car than a 7th gen but its your car.

That si is mad photo shopped. and ugly as hell lol

Personally I don't like the fad at all. However, I do like it when the whole car has been made to look like it's rusted/dead but you can tell that its been fabricated that way and isn't just a douche who doesn't know how to take care of his car lol

I'd NEVER do it on my civic haha! I think it looks good on older cars tho. If you do it on a new car you just look like a tool. Vdub scene is pretty rediculous, yet I keep finding myself strangely attracted to it
