I bought a rebuilt car from a guy from craigslist, and what the guy didn't tell me was that I needed all the receipts of changed parts to get the car registered and past CHP inspection. Now I've lost contact with the seller but I do know that the changed parts are the front passenger door and rear bumper, but neither of them have a vin sticker. I'm assuming the only way to get it registered is to buy those 2 parts myself and replace them, but that costs a lot of money I don't have. So are there any other alternative routes I can go?

So..... when u register, do u use the ENGINE VIN or the new parts' VIN? Does a car registration allow multiple VINs (I did not know)?
