the d17 and the k20 occupy opposite sides of the engine bay and turn opposite directions...

What avenger means is NO!!!! U can swap to a 5 speed civic tranny. why in the hell would u want a 6 speed anyway? The D engine doesn't make enough power to need it.

rob has a good point. the D17 doesnt need six speeds. but rob he said he has an auto...so that would require even more work.

well the 6 speed would actually be nice b/c its a closer ratio, not just another gear past 5th.... we could keep within our wee little power range...

but they spin different directions so you're dead in the water

yea six speeds are always better than 5 or 4, but the RSX trans. won't work.

if you mounted the transmission upside-down to the engine and figured out a way to route the axels, it would work

but other than that the answer is NO, unless you just want to drive around in reverse

edit: hey SuziQ have you ever owned a 4 speed mt? they're so rare now, but I drove an 88 with one so if you did, I feel your pain

edit, again: well, not "rare," but harder to find
