I owned my civic the day I drove it off the lot (minus the overnight roadtest). paid in full back in 2000. I only pay for car and health insurance now.
have money in the bank AND a job helps you a lot. I've saved up for a car since I was 12, but I got excited about the new 7th gen and blew my money on a base DX. If I waited a year later, I could have afforded an '01 LX maybe EX.
oh well. was the first in my area.
