02 Nissan SE-R Beat me
I have a 01 sedan ex auto and i was driving on the freeway when a Sentra SE-R pulls behind me and starts riding my tail. So I take off on him and tries to keep up but I was able to move better through the cars. We get off the freeway and there is traffic so I pull into a lane where I know I can get ahead and he comes three lanes over to get behind me. We start heading up a hill and I take off, he pulls next to me and we are off. Now it is just us two, before I know it we are going 90+ mph. Now get this, I have my pedal all the way the VTEC kicked in already and the rpm's are starting to drop when he take's off on me. I know I have an auto but still damn why the hell was he able to do that. I am guessing he has a 6-speed. We almost hit a truck then went our ways, I felt so violated after that. I think it is time for serious mods. Tell me if anyone has gone head up with one of these cars and what is the result?

First of all your a dumb.
Second those ser's and spec-v's are damn good cars for thier price so dont think your "loss" was that bad of a thing. You "lost" to a car that is better than yours. I use the " because you think you were doing real racing....

in matter of fact, i went heads w/one too.a silver one w/3 people in it. it was on the freeway in canoga park(what a coincidence). and we went straight through and since they have people in it,i was able to take em for a while until the speed limiter kicked in,then they were gone. those SE-Rs got some ***** on the street and freeway man!dude,175 lb-ft@4400 rpm,180hp@6000rpm.thats why you lost.
we need n/a tuning or some turbo,or u can use some nitrous.im using that.its pretty helpful on the freeway.

Sure they have all the power in the world on the highway, get them on the 1/4 and its another story. Yes, they will be faster, but their quoted 1/4 time is 15.4@90.8mph. If someone on this site ran a 15.8 1/4 time stock, i say thats a good race. Sure its nearly half a second, and i know thats "a lot" in racing, but it isnt that bad. Less then a car length i would think.

I can only say one thing...............
NO RELACEMENT FOR DISPLACEMENT
You just got your 1.7L *** handed to you by a 2.4L brawny!
Worry not, there's more where that came from... the university nerd that just bought a Corolla... the soccer mom with the 200HP Mazda MPV... your best friend's dad's Camry V6... your old highschool teacher who traded in his old Volvo for a new Saturn LW300 wagon...
Don't ask me why Honda fitted the new Civic Coupes with 1.7L!! What the HELL is an increasement of 100cc gonna do???? Gimme some REAL power man. 2.0L 160HP shoulda been STANDARD on the EX models!
