Is the new Civic SI a big difference....
I have a 2001 Civic EX end after I saw the Civic SI video I got in love with the car. Here in Puerto Rico the cars are very expensive and I think the new Civic SI will be over $24,000. My Car is 127Hp and the new Civic SI 160Hp. 33Hp more for maybe $3,000 more. I don't know. Do you think is worth it?
I mean, I can spend less money to get those 30Hp extra. Anyway, I think the past SI was best then this new one. Even the style was better. What do you people think about this.

Well eveyone has an opinion on the new SI, we have heard both ups and downs on it. I guess its up to you if its worth the extra $$$ for the HP. As far as what SI is better, the new or old, I like the 99-00 SI Coupes but its a styling issue for me more than power.

i dunno man, my friend test drove the 02 Si, he said its pretty slow, of course its still a bit faster than a ex, but not worth that extra money on Si, just my and his opinion though, i'd rather get rsx with leather and 16" rims which is like $1500CAD more than the Si(R) here in Canada, and 10lbs more torque than the Si(R)
the sticker said 19,400 in lanc... roughly the same in reading.. where I bought my civic... however upon talkin to the guys who gave me a great deal of 15,500 for my ex lil over a year ago... said when all is said an done I'm looking at 22-23 thou... because they can sell them... harrisburg an philly may be larger dealers... but reading is pretty big.... I'm not even gonn aske for another couple months when they realize they wont sell for that high

The new Si is 12k more than I paid for my 2001 LX. Do I think it's worth coughing up the extra 12k for an Si? Heeeeeeeeell no. Besides, I'm holding out for a trade-in on a 'vette someday. In the meantime I'm modding my car the way I see fit.

I think the best thing about the si is the interior. It is a lot nicer, sportier, and feels and looks much better than any prior vic. That's the main reason I am somewhat considering it because the interior is awesome imo. Plus, I think a oem car that does 0-60 in 8secs is much better than one that has been modded to achieve the same performance. I would rather have a car that has a nice interior and looks like sheite on the outside than the other way around. I spend more time looking from the inside out rather than the outside in.
