Installed my Injen RD cai saturday!! (& changed oil)

I installed it at my friend's body shop saturday and he also let me change the oil (I put in 5W-30 from Mobil1 synthetic). Honestly, I am still not sure if I have felt a power increase although my now-empty pockets are telling me otherwise. The sound of my engine is much more impressive and well worth the purchase plus the look under the hood is nice (and it showed me how much space there is without those stupid airboxes). I can't wait to go to the track this thur. to see if it shaved off a tenth or two (i'm praying) and i love pulling up somewhere (especially in front of fine women) and turning off the car so they can hear that weird noise from the cai.

To everybody with a cai, you guys hear that noise too when you turn off the car, right? Also, did any of you really feel a power difference because I don't think i did (blk 5-speed ex 4-dr)....

got my r/t down to really low .6's and i broke into the .5's!!! (.554 & .563-->sportsman's tree)

yep, accelerating into 4th I can feel the difference especially when I shift to each gear and I'm past the 3000 rpm mark. not sure if i felt it past the 5000 rpm mark, but later tonight I'll see if I can feel any power gain at that mark.

Is the noise due to air rushing out or into the cai???

I have the same setup. If you want to pump up a bit more power. Put on the cat back system.
I feel there is more power because it has better flow. CAI suck in more air you need more space to blow it out. That's what the cat back for. Make sure to reset your ECU after you've install them. I went through the process without reset the ECU and suffer the power lost. Now my baby works great and I'm very happy Good luck

Jon you should come to desoto this Friday. 8pm till 2am, unlimited # of runs. It's kinda crazy though, you have to wait in line 45 mins. for your runs, but I still have fun with it.
