I have a 2003 honda civic. The AC and Heater just cut out internittently. This is not a lighting issue like suggested by other posters, my AC and Heater do NOT function sometimes. I did notice some things that might be helpful:

1. When the AC cuts out, i do not hear/feel the engine duress and loss of power I do when it is functioning. Condenser/pump/belt issue?

2. I don't know if this is coincidence, but the AC seems to come back on for a while if I hammer the gas. Ie. 4500rpm for 3 or 4 seconds. Then it works again for a while. Electric issue?

3. Both the AC and heater problems are completely intermittent, and start/ stop with no notice

I wonder if there is a corrolation, or im trippin.

I am having the exact same problems with my 2004 Civic Hybrid. I also rev the engine, which works some of the time. Did you ever find out what the problem was?

Thanks for the heads up. Some forums automatically send a personal email to the person who submitted the original request whenever there is a response. Apparently that is not the case here. I figured out that I needed to sent a private message, which I have done. If I don't get a reply, I will post a new thread..... newb
