OEM kit gettin played out
why is it that every other 7th gen I see around here has got the full oem kit? do they give it to you stock now??? at first I thought it was cool cuz it wasn't so common, but jeez like I said every other Civic around here in central PA's got it!
I have noticed that as well.. maybe they have a special now? The OEM kit is ok...but now, yeah, it appears to be quite common. I am leaning toward the kaminari kit....dont see that many of them around yet anyway.

dude u know why they are common? cuz these days, cars are coming out with body kits
in the car dealerships..... especially HONDAS AND TOYOTAS.
just like when spoilers came out, spoilers on cars wasn't really common before, it was more like an underappreciated feature. now there are alot of cars who have spoilers from tercels to sequioa. I dont blame them because cars these days, when u see a car with a spoiler its definately a +++ and when u dont have a spoiler in ur car, u just simply feel left out - - -. dats why i also chose to throw in the spoiler in my car.
have u guys seen the new toyota type S? well i think it looks amazingly awesome with the body kit, HOWEVER, when u get close up with the body kit, guess wat? it looks CHEAP AS A ****!!!!!!! it looks like it was just slapped in there and u can really tell the body kit apart from the body of the car. well i think body kits should flow with the car's original body, and i dont think its a good thing when people can tell the separation between the body kit and the body.
I would love to have a full body kit on my sedan! but dats my next project, i want my rims first.
pay off da car first, or wait till a new model comes out before putting all those extra stuff in.
edit: i have to edit so people wont get confuse on my point

I hear that, but if you can't pay for the car you got probs cause if your into cars the cost should be the first thing taken care of. As for the OEM body kit, I like it just wish I had one, but at this time I'm not willing to shell out the $$$.

i didnt say i cant pay for the car dude?
my point was simply, if you spend money in ur car it would go to the drain if you don't even pay the car off.

Hey,
Over here in SoCal, I haven't seen one 7thGen with a OEM kit, and BTW I have seen more and more 7th Gen civics in the street now, ALOT of them modified. Much different then a couple of months ago where it seemed the 7thGenCivic was scant, not its everywhere here.
I have seen a Kamanari Kit Civic, a West Wing one, Octane kit and some other ones, but still to see an OEM one.

Man, and to think I was considering on buying it. That was one of the few ones I liked. Guess, I'll have to go with my second choice.
Personaly i have never been a fan of it, it looks to much like stock. Around where I live i never see trick 2k1's. The only one I have ever seen with anything on it (except for mine) is my friend's, and all he has got is wheels.
Yeah the cars in AZ I noticed came with tint and stuff on them but when I ordered my ride from Oregon I got to add what I wanted. But I like to chose or add stuff on my own I don't need my car riced out by the dealer. But yeah I haven't seen any OEM kits around here but most are older people with 4 doors.

Some dealers or dealers in some areas love to throw every little extra on the car cause the markup is insane on that stuff. $600 for a bodykit that costs them ~$200, $50 for $15 wheel locks, $100 for $20 floor mats etc.
Honda dealers are probably the worst for this kind of thing, I don't know why but it just seems to be tha t way, maybe it's a holdover from when all hondas hit the dealers lots as trippers and the dealer added EVERY option (radio, A/C, etc.).
When we were looking at an Odyssey we found a dealer who was like "I'll make you a deal by selling you the car for MSRP (whop the freakin doo) but you have to buy X, Y and Z for $2k (all stupid stuff we didn't need). We ended up buying a Mazda MPV for like $4k under the price of the Odyssey.
