New Car Scratches

Ya so I went out to my car today and I found some new scratches on my rear bumper. It looks like some one rubber their car up against mine and left some white paint marks on my black paint, along with some deep scratches. I figure that I'll try rubbing some polish on it (after cleaning it of course) then add a layer of cleaner wax, followed by a layer of wax. Any other suggestions or ideas? Man this bites-

ahh, no rocks would be on my front, this is on the rear of my car and there are scrape marks as in deep strait lines through my clear coat along with some of my plastic on my rear bumper rubbed away

Decamo has a little shameless behaviour in the past
The scratches I can take - just buff them out. Its the chips that **** me off, they're starting to accumulate on the hood.

ya, I have a ton of those little chips on my front from normal driving 2. Nothing to do about it, you can't really see them till you get close, ohh well a paint job would be a nice thing in a few years. What do you suggest I use to buff out the scratches if I have no orbitor? Can it be done by hand?
