CIVIC CRITICS

A LOT OF PPL BE SAYIN THAT THA NEW CIVICS SUCK AND ITS PISSIN ME OFF ...THEY SAY THE OLDER ONES ARE BETTER AND THAT THE SEDANS SUCK EVEN MORE....I DONT SEE WHATS WRONG WITH THE SEDAN...IT LOOKS NORMAL TO ME...I MEAN LOOK AT NucRacer 's sedan ...itz fully pimped and some of the other sedans look nice too. I personally think the newer 01 - 02 unmodified sedans look alot more better then the older unmodified sedans. And with the new coupes...they look hot too...some of these critics just dont like change obviosly.

The new civics don't suck! I love my sedan and am very happy with it. All the people who own vics and think they suck or don't like them need to get rid of their cars and get the heck off this site. I am also sick of all the whining! My car is slow, it rattles, the old ones are better, no power, blah, blah, blah. Trade you car and don't let the door hit you in the ***!

reason they hate on our new civic is they're jealours. they're stuck with their sh!tty looking onez while we got a btter look and more room for same price. the only sh!tty thing about our civic compare to the older onez is our sh!tty suspension. i gotta admit that the civic has a sh!ttier suspension than those korean cars and corollas around the price of 16g.... but besides that, everything is way better. don't take their comments cuz they prolly don't even have their own ride. and if they do, they'll prolly be driving a 1981 domestic or some **** like that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We didnt buy our cars as replacements for the Benz or Porche we had. We bought them cause we like the look, quality, and just plan fun of them. So what you cant smoke someone off the line, but in 5+ years while the other car is rusting out and showing its wear from all the hard take-offs ours will still be looking good, sounding good, and working great.......

Hey,

Some people are just stupid and need a reason to whine.

How about looking in the mirror and if your satisfied in what you see, then its all good. The only thing that matters is how you percieve things in your own eyes.

Who really cares if EVERYBODY said the new 7th gens suck..... aren't fast, blah blah blah. This has all been said before.

But to me I have a *NEW* car because I get 31-40mpg, I don't race, I like the coupe look better then the previous gens, I drive 500 miles a week, I needed something realible which this car is. Cheap, 3 years for $450.00 month, not bad for something that is going to last at least 10 years.

This car suits me, and thats what counts.

Sure maybe I could've gotten a Acura RSX or Toyota Celica if I waited and saved some more, but the car was needed immediately for work/school.

If you were looking for preformance and got his car and are disappointed, then thats your fault for not taking the time and doing some research.

As far as my own preformance, once I gather some funds I will be buying a preformance car, that I will use strickly for that purpose.

So in the end, I will have my consistent daily driver and a fast preformance car. Not a bad deal, and its what *I* want.

Ray

To make a blanket statement that all 7th gen Civics "suck" is simply ignorant. Sure Honda has changed some things, some for the better in some people's opinion and some for the worst, again in some people's opinion. It's all relevant. Some like the changes, some don't. If you don't, then by all means just don't buy the car. It's really that simple. There are some very nice cars on this forum thanks to the hard work and imagination of some very dedicated owners and enthusiasts. Obviously you're not going to find many current owners of early generation Civics who like the new ones. On the other hand, I own a 7th gen and I don't care much for the earlier ones. It's a question of what you like. The earlier models are easier to make "Fast & Furious" I agree, but that merely presents a challenge to the current 7th gen owners to try and overcome. They don't whine about their cars and declare they "suck" but instead they try to do whatever it takes to break away from the old "been there-done that" crowd and in turn place themselves in a new unique group away from the norm. Many have succeeded VERY well just from looking around this site and it's always exciting to see what someone is going to come up with next. It's a hobby, it's a challenge, it's FUN!

WOW! 8 replies were posted while I was typing my post! Glad to see I am in good company with my opinion.

The Civic is one of the best cars ever made, and is fine for most people. Jeez, Louise. There are motors to roll up the windows for you, lights to tell you when to get gas, a suspension to keep you from feeling the road, sound insulation to make it quiet for you, a radio to listen to, and a roof to keep the weather from getting in. The majority of the world will cook its dinner over an open fire tonight, if they can even afford to feed themselves at all, and some people are worried about a few seconds off the line. Thank your lucky stars that we live in a country that gives us such choices and the opportunity to make the money to purchase them with.

I don't know why all the complaints!?!? I drive over 600 miles a week and needed something reliable and comfortable. I have the coupe and I think it looks great! Ya it's not blazin fast, but it's fast enough and I didn't buy it to race corvettes!!! When I save a little more money (like others have said) I will get my performance car and only drive it at the track and on bright summer days . But unitil then, the civic is good for what I want.

I think it all depends what your refferening to. The new ones are more economical and safer. By doing this, you lack in performace. The older ones seem to be the other way around so it all depends on what you want. Economical Safety or Killer Speed.

yeah our cars are slow, but guess what.... when our d17a2's are dying under our lead feet, the k20 swaps will be commonplace and we'll be eating b16 and b18's for breakfast

Hell I have a sedan and I plan hooking it up. I think the older gen sedans looked like . As to whoever complains it's too slow or whatever, sell it and get out of here. Go buy a used faster car.

Yeah there are some of us that did do our homework before we bought our cars but in spite of that still got stuck with a sh!tty car. A sh!tty car that Honda refuses to fix. So when you are in that position then you can tell people not to complain.

you have a reason to complain, but thats not what hes talking about, hes talking about people complaining about the speed of the car and aftermarket support
