Be careful when you find yourself next to a Cummins. I helped my brother build his truck up over the summer (sig), and in it's 400hp mode, it will destroy my Civic.
Doesn't take much to smoke a Viper
And mustangs
and I'll post some more when i find them again. On the Cummins forums, they make fun of the ricers that try to race them ...

I have a buddie who has a cummins. Propane injection big turbo and NO2 with a tune. He had to replace his trany after 1000 miles. He said as a daily driver it runs close to 700 whp but he could have it tuned up to around the 1000 mark. Those things are insane.

Dyno'd? I call BS because to get 1000 hp out of a single turbo is VERY VERY VERY hard. Reaching 700 with a single = lots of lag. Plus, the highest HP cummins in the US is 1300hp, and that was built by a company with an unlimited budget and they were running twins...

I build diesels all the time here at the shop. Our shop truck put down 498 with our bullydog programmer PMT. We can launch it in 4hi and all 4 tires will spin

Ok, that may be. I have not seen any Dyno sheet.
What I do know to be fact is:
My buddy builds stock car frames for a living and he is good friends with "Self Racing". He had them build the motor in the truck.
Actually Self Racing is right down the street from my house.
It gets old listening to the motors on the dyno all day.

its true, with a bully dog propane injection system ive seen as high as 1600 hp from a cummins, it pulled a bobcat on a trailer in the 1/8th at like 11.5, and still got like 23 mpg, it was insane, saw it on speedchannel

What does my brother have anything to do with this. I "built" it...it's just that he owns the truck.
I said nothing about BUILT cars. And, you can choose to believe there aren't any ricers on this forum but THERE ARE and they will try to "race" anything and everything so they can feel special. Btw, reguadless of how fast it is, that evo does look like rice.
And your car isn't?

just shows any car can be made to be fast if you throw enough money at it. you can go on youtube all day and find all kinds of cars that are 1500hp or whatever hp. like 1500hp supra's, 2000hp vipers.
There's even a clip somewhere of a dodge caravan beating a viper in a quarter mile race. The viper i believe was stock though. Even stock, i'm sure the viper would drive rings around the caravan around a track.
lets not assume that every jerk that thinks there car is the fastest in the world drives a import. I've seen plenty of truck guys driving in and out of traffic like there from F & F too.
The one constant is that there will always be someone faster then you in any car or truck.
its a nice clip and leave it at that.

All I'm TRYING to say is, don't underestimate the pick-ups. I had a 7th gen 4 door f-with me when I was in the truck. Not the least bit riced out and he wanted to race...

lol why would anyone in a civic under estimate a truck? most stock trucks would destory a civic off the line. RWD plus low end gear for torque.
