My body kit melted!!!!!!

I was driving around today and smelt something burning....It was my body kit!!! I had to replace the hangars for my exhaust and I guess they made the exhaust to close!! The picture isn't very good, but you can see the melted plastic on the top of the tip!!!

the reason why it melted is because of the tip, that type of tip you have gets really hot....before you get another rear kit go to a local muffler shop and have them install a double wall tip, it stays a lot cooler (i can run my car all day and the tip will still be cool to the touch), the same tips used on thermals.... here's a link of magnaflow tipshttp://www.magnaflow.com/03partstitle/03tipa.htm

Wow, that photo looks like a professional shot.... your bodykit is so shiny, you can see the ground reflection

I never knew an exhaust was that hot....???

I don't understand some things. I had a universal Apexi N1 on my car for about 3 months. Then I got the magnaflow catback and sold the muffler to my friend. Couple of days later he comes back to me bitching that I didn't tell him that it would melt his bumper cuz it did. I have a 2001 civic and he has a 2000 civic. I don't get how his burned and mine didnt? My magnaflow tip is touching my bumper and it still doesn't melt anything.
