Iight some of you guys know I'm selling my car so this older dude came yesterday to check my car out so everything was good, he said he likes the looks, the way I have it done, the way it rides..... So he asked me if he can write the vin # so he can check it out when he go home.... So this morning he e-mails me telling that he checked my car in car fax and that he did'nt like what he saw thats he sorry but he is not interested in my car anymore.... So I told my boy that work in a car dealer to check my car fax and he send me the report....... Why do you guys think he backed out when he saw that car fax report?

Re: My Car Fax Info, Good Or Bad?
the only thing I can think of is the one wreck that's on there. other than that though, you actually have a really good carfax report. he must just be weird.

Re: My Car Fax Info, Good Or Bad?
Because he changed his mind, and didn't want to tell you that he simply didn't want the car. So he hid behind the carfax reason, probably thinking you wouldn't check to see the history of it.

Next time you talk to him - he may come back with a lowball offer - ask him if the carfax report blew his skirt up.

P.S. Don't sell your 'vic!

Re: My Car Fax Info, Good Or Bad?
looks straight, seems like a lot of "records" but they dont seem bad. I wonder what my car fax says... I had someone crash into my rear bumper and bend my floor pan, i'm curious, but no car fax account.

Anyways- you have a dope car man. still selling?

Re: My Car Fax Info, Good Or Bad?
Haha, no kidding. I have been rear ended 3 times but have gotten it repainted every time. No damage but it probably doesn't look very good on a report!

Re: My Car Fax Info, Good Or Bad?
carfax only shows accidents when the damage is over 5 grand. plus, in the accident, you hit someone and the front of your car is damaged. hes probably really picky and doesnt want any drivability problems down the road. not saying there is or will be, but some people are weird. we have people at our shop want to watch their alignment be done and they want it dead on which never happens. i wouldnt sell a civic with gas prices the way they are. i dont daily drive mine now, but its nice to have for long trips.

Re: My Car Fax Info, Good Or Bad?
^That's good to know, because I was curious as to why my 2 accidents didn't show up when I ran a carfax check on my car. Oddly enough, I ran a tx dps check (or had a title company run it) and it didn't show that I had been in any accidents with my car either.

As for why the guy wasn't interested, one of the above has to be right.
