Black on black carbon fiber. For good or bad?
Only on some hoods. There're really unnecessary unless you've got terrible fitment and don't trust the latch.
Not a huge fan of the painted interior. I went the other direction and painted my silver door handles flat black to match the rest of the car, looks sick as hell.

ya, my buddy thought the same thing, bought a quality hood, and didn't put hood pins in.
he had to buy a new windshield/hood cause it flew up on him.
so, as bad/good as hood pins are, they will not let your hood fly up.

Also if you get a good quality hood... you don't need hood pin bro.
Edit: What brand of hood did he purchase?

never heard of a sebion hood flying up, so i think im gunna go with that company. i heard of ViS flying up and all the ebay *****, i also heard of them not having latchs at all. so my trunk will be ViS but hood will be Sebion
speaking of flying hoods. my friend who came up to Austin from Mexico brought his renault clio sport with him. He has been through like 3 clutches..anyways, He took his car to a local tuning shop here in Austin ( I wont say the name, but they are located on Congress Ave. hint hint ) and after repairing his clutch they took his car for a test drive (the owner of the shop was driving)...The hood flew up and smashed the windshield and roof. They forgot to close his hood. It was the funniest thing EVER...
alot of haters on this site. JESUS JESTER if someonee wants to put hood pins on their car let them. I mean dude this is a 7th gen community where people share their cool rides. People should be like oh nice a 7th gen with a tight cf hood and pins. Not so hows it helping u reach those 200+ speeds. DUDE Aequis I like the hood pins. I think it adds a classy and elegant look to ur ride. Keep up the nice work!
he bought a seibon.
my VIS did have a latch on it, but thanks to wonderful honda sheet metal, my hood latch broke off a while ago.
so, i am stuck with hood pins
P.S. this car is a show car, so, the stickers/paint is part of the theme of the car. the interior paint has been clear coated for a nice look
and actually, most of the stickers have been scraped off due to fading and looking crappy.

no one is callin him out for his pins, i just said i dont like pins. and i will not use them. IF i had to i would get black LOCKS mainly cause its easy to steal a hood with pins, i knew someone with pins and no latch and i took his hood off and handed it to him in a matter of 10 minutes. it was ****in funny as hell, but i wouldnt want that.

i wouldnt waste my money on a carbon fiber hood and trunk if my car was black.......unless your car is straight track and weight reduction is a must then its pointless....paying 1000 or so bucks just for carbon fiber...no way !!! just my opinion though
Honestly carbon fiber on black looks really cool. Also CF is more of a badass thing to have on ur car. When people in lots or driving c u got cf there really drawn in. Especially if ur car has cf and has a turbo. then thats when people typcially cream their pants
i paid 600 for mine and its for show/track.
as for the hood locks, they are coming, they were just back ordered.
not to mention, i do have a security system with a hood sensor that sets it off when the hood is lifted. 2 way lets me know when someone does somethign like that

cf is waste for weight reduction for our cars too. our cars are cheap thin sheet metal. snow dented my hood. SNOW! and a egg corn fell on my trunk and dented it, so CF might be like 1/4oz lighter, i think it would be alot more sturdier than the POS they have stock. so if we look at it your way CF is pointless for every function what so ever.
DUDE CF is wonderful. Y do you think they put it on b52 bombers? Its really light/VERY flexiable/ETC. DUDE carbon fiber is nearly impossible to break. IT is composited of billions and trillions of molecules combioned togethter to make a incredible bond. SO AEQUIS when u or if u get in a wreck ur cars ****ed but ur cf will be looking hott!
Idea: Why don't you just get the carbon fiber hood and trunk painted black instead of repainting the whole car?
But yes, aside from weight savings, carbon fibre is more durable and doesn't dent and **** like the stock sheetmetal.
