I'm thinking that that would have been alot shorter if the cops were actually armed.... and alot less dangerous to everyone, except for the suspect.
No in America bike cops know not to pull up past a cop cruiser. That was the problem there because the first cop car with the camera couldn't lock him in but the bike shouldn't even have tried that. And it appears they did hit the windows but couldn't break them for some reason. But yea if they were armed even aim at the driver and he will stop.

well... those batons are made of an alloy that is designed to really friggin hurt, not break. keep in mind they are normally used on peoples bodies. LOL So a combo of the curvature of the glass and the flex of the baton would explain why it wouldn't shatter.

If only they carried guns, then it would have been easier.
That moto cop was an idiot. He deserved being smashed for even stopping right there and not getting off.
I'm confused by "designed" to hurt, not break. Do you mean that they are not very dense (the metal alloy), that they are hollow so that they give more, or that they are a rubber or plastic or something? I get that maybe they couldn't hit the windows at a optimum angle cause they were curved and moving, but I can't think of any reason the windows wouldn't break or at least crack other than that they were stronger than normal glass.
