The area where the structural adhesive was applied was indeed sanded. You just can't tell cause the pics are crappy. I was supposed to use 50-grit but I only had 150. The stuff is long dried and really tough, so I don't think I'm too far off there.

Dude, this is for my NEW bumper. The old one will see winter duty but the new one will be a summer-only affair, like string bikinis and that zinc stuff you put on your nose.

A few more pics:

I've had to put the project on hold for a bit, as work has gotten insanely busy and I've got a couple other car and DJ projects on the go at the same time.

Are you trying to fit the RSX front bumper on your car? Just so you know, I've tried that already....and as you can see, I don't have an RSX front bumper....
na.. i'm not doing anything to my car anytime soon, no cash
i actually planned on the project for custom fitting a RSX mugen front bumper onto my EL's, but after discussing with my friend who works in a body shop, i knew it's gonna look ugly. so i changed my "plan" to 05EL bumper + greddy lip. but that's only a "plan" untill i have enough cash to spend
ps: Telly? hug? 05 bumper + greddy lip?

I've been eyeing the Greddy lip since I got the CWest one done, it looked so much cleaner from the start, and the 05 bumper looked great for an intercooler, so I put the two together. I've actually had both pieces for some time now, didn't really have time to work on it till very recently then again I've had to put it down in favour of some other projects. At the rate I'm going the car will have died before the bumper goes on.
yes the greddy lip looks really clean, but still gives that lil "aggresive" look
keep ur car far away from my sight pls, that bumper + that interooler under that turbo, im gonna steal it for sure if i see it
*u going to the meet on the 10th* cough cough
btw, from the pics, ur bumper looks like the work is almost done, isn't it?
edit: is that the polyurethene or fiberglass one?

Don't think I'm gonna make it to the meet, as I'm working late that night; I never make it out to meets anymore because of work. The work is nowhere near done, the passenger side is uneven for some reason - the gap is bigger on the passenger side than driver's, so I have to compensate for it somehow. The lip is of course polyurethane. Because the lip is not an EXACT fit, you need some flex to it in order to mold it on, and fiberglass just doesn't fit the bill. Frankly I'm of the opinion that fiberglass is NOT an ideal material for a bumper or a lip unless the car never sees the street. There's too much debris and curbage out there in the real world for me to be comfortable driving with a brittle front end.
too bad that u aren't comming to the meet, was looking forward to see ELENA with her new jewells in person, and i forgot to ask you to pop up ur trunk and show me ur trunk system last time in my under ground garage
bake some weed brownies and treat them to ur boss on the 10th, then u'll be able to show up for some "best dessert"
