this has probably been asked before but are these things worth it?

No offense, but it's asked almost daily. The standard answer is that it's a resistor, that modifies the signal from the IAT, so the ECU believes the engine is sucking in colder, denser air, and gives it more fuel to go with the increased oxygen it thinks it's getting. This cannot add HP, and will probably cause it to decrease, in addition to killing your gas mileage.

yes, this item will dramatically increase your HP. as a matter of fact, it is THIS and only THIS item alone that has made hundreds of K-swap considering 7th gen owners, change their minds. don't ask me why this $40 miracle bargain isn't being used on every 7th gen already or why honda hasn't made this standard on their new models. probably because everyone on planet earth is too stupid to jump on ebay in search of automotive parts. bid now before I buy'em all.
