unibody chassis limit?
how long is a unibody chassis... good? i've heard they twist a lot and all, so i mean, is a 200k unibody car a bad idea to buy? i'm not looking at the engine/electronics point of view, i understand all the problems that come at 200k there, but the actual chassis itself. thanks.

any chassis with 200k on it has been flexed and twisted to death - unibody or not. if you wanted any sort of solid regidity, the best way to go is a 4pt or 6pt WELD IN cage. this will give the chassis a new lease on life.
Other than that - there really isn't anything you can do other tha reinforce all the major welds in the car.

this depends on what the car experiences..... a lot of pot holes, bumps, uneven roads, driver abuse/racing, accidents, etc. Any car w/ 200K definately has seen its fair share of roads. The only way to check is to use a machine and see how far the chassis is from OE spec.
