conclusion on turbo-super-and n20
All take life off our engine..... All cost a sh*t load of money to be done right.... and All I wish I had
doin my newbie searches however I think I've come to the conclusion... that n2o is actually the least harmful of all to our engines
turbo and superchargers no matter how well installed are still running most of the time... and are way more expensive than n2o
and for me... I'm pretty cool with the basci mods for our cars... keeps me from gettin to many traffic tickets.. an gives me great gasmilage for trips.
so basically I think I'm only gonna have this car another 5 or so years before I want to play with all the new toys commin out.
so yea.... I wont be using n2o regulary an when I do... jus maybe 50-65 shots.. I'm still gonna reinforce some engine parts...
jus thought I'd throw that idea out before I went an dropped a grand.. let me knwo what you guys think of my train of thought any better advice or forwarnigns would be appreciated

i like nitous to but the only turn off is it is against the law to have your valve even opened in most states. although u can buy a remote bottle opener for like $200 to play it safe; i still dont know

Good idea. Only spray when you need to and you'll get good gas milage the rest of the time. If your car is a daily driver then this route is a good idea. Mine is a daily driver as well, but I think I'll run low boost levels for everyday driving and higher boost levels for racing. I'm not exactly sure how to adjust a turbocharger this way? Maybe just by adjusting the wastegate? Although maybe there's an electronic wastegate available that you can adjust from within the cabin?
Nitrous safer than a properly tuned turbo? mkay. Ever used N2O before, or been in a car when someone hits it. Extremely violent. Anyone on this site can vouch for how violent it is to your drivetrain!

even without ever seeing it, i thought it was the worst thing for the life of your engine

also from what I've read... possibly biased information..... how is a quick boost of 50 horse's from n20 reall any dif then when your turbo kicks in.. tru a trubo may be a lil more gradual.... but it jumps up your horse power quick?

50 shot is "safe". Anything more than that, you will need to prep your motor.

With turbo, you have something called "turbo lag", it takes a little bit for the turbo to actually spool up. But with nitrous, the power is immediate. HOWEVER, I would recommend setting up the kit to spray the car when you are at full throttle.
Spraying off the line isn't gonna help much anyway.

alright this is what i know about nos seen it been in a car with it and drivin a car with it. it all depends on how and when and how many times you shoot the nos if you plan on going with a single shot i recommend no more than 50 shot. Oh ya one more thing i have never seen the effects of nos on a front wheel drive car only rear wheel drive cars. but anyways besides that. I know that my freind shoots it once a week at the races in houston race way park and he has to change his cat like once or twice a year i think is what he said he says that it runs so hot that ruins his cat. Also that was a 100 shot in a charger so the engine is a bit diff. are you planning on changing out your clutch plate just curios and what gear are u planning on shooting that can make a big diff. just never shoot off the line unless you have a really good clutch plate and a few other transmission and engine mods that are extra tough.

Hmmmmm....20 hours is a bit much for me. But if you really have more questions, you can feel free to PM me.

(nudge) I think you still have some stuff to learn. But you'll be alright. Least you did a bit of research before posting this thread.
WCooper....you're right. A 50 shot is pretty much safe. And I am not sure if what you mentioned about the cat remains true with our rides. But most people choose to just remove the cat completely when utilizing N2O systems in their rides. Changing the clutch on our rides is really not necessary when using a 50 shot. Although it may become necessary eventually. It all depends on how you drive the car and how often you use the nitrous.
i've got the NX 50 shot on my ride... 50 shot is pretty universal... and the kit i went with is shown in the recent honda tuning magazine... it features some pretty sweet accesories to protect our tiny motors. with our compression ratio i wouldn't run any higher unless you did some bottom end work first. which at this point wouldn't be worth doin on our cars until we get more aftermarket support.
