Loud squeak when i clutch
Everytime i press my clutch in, i can hear a loud squeaking from outside the car. I already know i have a problem wiht my release bearing, it had been rattling for a while. well it recently stopped rattling for the most part, and i noticed the squeak this morning. I dont know much about the clutch system, am i heading for a major break down or is it somethign else?

From what I understand there are two squeaking problems people generally have. One comes from the slave cylinder(heard outside the car) and the other comes from the master cylinder(heard near the pedal). There is a DIY to fix the slave cylinder squeak. I couldn't find it for you so maybe someone else can help you out in that department!

That one thread was rather confusing, but I'm gonna dig into it on Sunday and see if I can get mine to quit squeaking.
I tried white lithium grease first, and it actually worked for a couple of months, but then my squeak came back. I took it in to the dealer, and they replaced the "clutch assembly" (that's what it says on the invoice) at no charge. That's been over two years ago -- so far, so good (fingers crossed).

I've had a squeak for well over a year now....I'm just too lazy to do anything about it since it comes and goes.
I've seen the DIY, its prolly just dirty on the bearing or whatever...just have to clean it.

Here's the DIY. Did mine over a year ago and still squeak free. But now I'm starting to get the interior squeak...

I had my car in to Honda 3 times for this. It took them that many tries to fix it. I was a squeak from the engine bay, not inside the car, when i pressed or released the clutch. It did it more when the car warmed up. I had the clutch master cylinder replaced under warranty per the service bulletin, but this did not fix it. They ended up just cleaning oxidation off the slave cylinder. I haven't had a problem since. It was described by the tech as "easy" I didn't bother to look under there myself, as I'm still under warranty. I'd look at the slave cylinder, were I you. Good luck.

It isn't a recall. It's a service bulletin. If you're out of warranty, you have to pay.....unless you aren't out of warranty by a whole lot, then request "goodwill consideration" and more likely than not, the service manager and regional manager will get it covered.

i've got the sqeak too. never done anything about it. I had it lookedat once before, they told me, more or less, "I was smoking crack, they don't hear anything." Figure I'll be getting a 100,000 maintence done soon, have the dealer look at it then. U think they could flahs my milage forward to the correct numbers, since I changed guages it shows less. it should be at 100,000+-. it shows 59,500 now.
