anyone know what kind of scanner that guy had in the beginning where he was able to pinpoint the police being "2miles away"... it's around the 15.30min mark.

it wasnt a scanner, it was a CB radio and truckers telling him how far away they were, like what mile marker.
as far as radar/laser detectors, http://www.radarbusters.com/ that guy sponsored a cannonball car...they got no tickets. lol
