help! i am clearing my head lights

i really need everyone's help i am clearing my head lights and everything was perfect until step 8.
it said to remove the 5 black clips. i don't know which clips they
are talking about.
please help it is getting dark

5 black small clips that go around the edges. Sometimes, they dont have them, if yours doesnt, dont worry about it.

yes big problem! run to lowe's right now and pick up some kitchen/bath silicone! (clear) !!! run run run! you need it to seal them back up or else

well i guess i have to put my car back together again
i didn't think that glue would work
haha
i have to wait till wednesday and stop at lowe's cause i don't work that day but thank i would looked stupid take the gray glue and not have anything to seal it back up

but i will try again this weekend, thanks

yeah you have got to have the silicone....otherwise your lights will fog like crazy!!!!!

why would you start the project without all the materials[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/IMG]


when you do try it again, be prepared to spend some time getting each headlight apart, and BE CAREFUL or youll get the black stuff on the chrome and youll have to use nail polish remover to get it off. also, wear old clothes, youll probably ruin them, the black stuff wont come out

I've done it twice, and it's very worth the time to get it right!! Make sure that black goo doesn't make it to the chrome or it will look terrible! And my headlights never did get any moisture in them, just have to silicone em up[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/IMG]

well when i started the DIY i knew we had some
but it turned out we didn't
it was, how do you american say it?
it was a blonde moment. haha
just joking
oh well
so i put my baby back together and
then drove to my friend's house and he had some silicone. i was so mad.
i should have asked him if he had some before i put the car back together
but that saves me the trip to lowe's
