muffler sound question

i want replace the muffler on my exhaust. but i dont want to get the 2.25 piping since i would have no need for it. i just want the look and sound of the muffler. would anyone please post the sound of just the muffler welded on to the stock piping and a muffler w/ 2.25 piping..... thanks!

you want fries with that?

- i run an axelback b/c i hate the damm noise, its deep, quiet, and looks nice. It would be louder if i installed the midpipe and removed the resonator, but with this serving as my DD it works well for me -

the 2.25" piping is supposed to make the sound of the muffler deeper and not so high pitched and ricey...i dunno... am i wrong ??

you can lose some low end grunt due to the loss of delta pressure (not backpressure)

Get the Thermal R&D rear section, give you the look, deep sporty sound, not too loud......but it cost like around $300, that's what I paid for.

When I installed my HP Racing muffler with the stock midpipe and resonator, I swear I could not hear anything. Quiet but it doesn't seem like a muffler was installed. I replaced the midpipe without the resonator and now it's sounds DEEP!!! But you do lose some low end power but increase on the high end
