its an awesome car. Im just waiting for someone to drop a GTS engine and 6 spd in 1 then turbo the bitch. BTW a turbo kit is already available for the 140BHp engine it comes with.
the new mr2...can suck my left nut....the old ones were the best...MR drivetrain with turbo...damn thosr things had great pick up....just like the celica's they had to kill it (the turbo) now all these jap. company are goin teh luxurious line....no more turbos....
Hey my friend just took one for a test drive. But they are sort of hard to get a hold off. I think they only make 5000 a year and they sell at or above sticker price due to demand. The one he took for a spin was one of the five in the entire New England area!!!
its a amazing light @ss car....When the Axis MR2-s..cameout in SCC mag it performed an amazing 12sec 1/4 @ 105mph...with 12psi at 259hp..
0-30 / 1.8s
0-60 / 4.9s
30-50 / 1.7s
50-70 / 2.3s
slalom / 73.8mph
braking 60-0 / 107ft (which holds the record in scc mag also the brake is stock )
Internal Mods; none
External mods : Custom NuFormz exhuast manifold/Garrett T28 turbo/custom sparco air to water IC and intake plumbing/NuFormz prototype exhuast and intake
so with a few add ons and a turbo kit...this car can blow a porsche with less money
I want one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The old mr2s are extremely over-powered big go-carts. I had a friend that had the turbo. Man! That thing was wicked fast and handled awesome. The new ones look good, but they forgot the hp.
4yrs. bumper to bumber warranty, 5yr drivetrain warranty, 12yr. rust and corrosion warranty
Otherwise, I would be concerned about that.
BTW, the new MR2's aren't exactly cheap to work on either.
