Evo
The Vette is a better performance vehicle I don't think anyone else said other wise I don't believe so, but it is in a different class and price range so I should perform better stock. I don't like debating modded cars because with enough money you can make anything as fast as you'd like.

ok here we go...i didnt read all of the posts but saw a few that got to me.
- you can get an 02 z06 for 25k...yes you can but its got 60k miles on it no warantee and who know who beat the **** out of it.
-for 30k you can get an over priced wrx, sti's are 33ish
- 8g's can get you running low 11's in an evo....how much u need to make a 7th gen run 11's?
but whatever...im just talking from my *** since i own that evo the miss sivikchik posted

-for 30k you can get an evo IX brand new
-per performance...the evo matches up the sti almost as an equal. you wanna argue the sti has 300hp....ok fine the evo has 285...whos gonna miss 15hp? mind you this isnt even whp.....but crank hp.

The Evo stock for stock is pretty much right on par with a Porsche Cayman..... for about $20K less
And now that Subaru ****ed up the STi the EVO is that much more enticing. Not to mention the Evo is MUCH more mod-friendly than an Sti. Autocross Junky

They're economy cars reworked with world-class engineering. Are they worth the money? Depends on what you want them for. First and foremost, they're all-wheel drive. Which means you're gonna have the maximum amount of traction, ALL THE TIME. Downside to this is that the drivetrain wastes a lot of power, and by that I mean they're not very efficient. They're not very good for straight-line speed, but they're definitely fast enough.

but ya, the only real advantage of AWD on a car, is in the ability to power out of turns better. other then that, the only real difference between drivetrain layouts is wegith distribution and how much tire you can fit under them.
