Hey fellas I got great news - I got the word today and am officially a BMW/MiniCooper technician!
here's the deal - about a month ago, a local BMW dealership called the training school I'm attendinng, saying they were in need of a tech so send the best for an interview.
It was a surprise to me that most of the instructors recommended me!
I went for the interview and then sat next to the phone for a couple weeks
I got invited back to the dealership today and they game the 411, the rules, etc.
So I start next week. Part-time only, but next month full time + weekends. Wish me luck!

But when I go fulltime, I can switch to flat-rate, which is where the money can be made.
for example - the book says a tuneup pays for 1 hour worth of worth. If I finish the car in 30 minutes, I will still get paid for 1 hour of work. I can move onto the next car and finish that in 30 minutes. so in just an hour, i have done 2 hours worth of work and get paid for 2 hours.
that's how real mechanics should be making money. not selling you stuff you dont need
