cool. but i agree with some of those comments, it should be a heads up or at least in the gauge cluster, not on the screen on the side

cool... but when does anyone ever drive down a road that dark and who the hell would run/rollerblade in the middle of the night down a pitch black road??????????????
Also... wouldn't an oncoming car's headlights render that night vision useless?

How many people do you know that go to highschool/college parties driving a BMW with Nightvision?

I'm not saying that the nightvision technology is stupid... but realistically I would never pay to have that on my car. I can't even think of a time i really needed something like that.

first of all, two switch activation? come on now....
needs to be projected onto windashield like previous comments
needs to have a light load sensor instead of button activation, i.e. when the amount of light reaches a certain low level the infrered images appear on the windshield...
also TOPGEAR did a segment about this and its **** in fog someone posted it on here already it was hilarious.....

Just tell the city to put up more streetlights on dark streets since our taxes are paying for it anyway.

I love this.

some cars can already project important stuff onto the windshield, like speed/rpm/fuel/etc just like on fighter jets. it reduces the risk of getting into an accident when the driver has to look away from the road and at the guage cluster.

Like it was stated before, it's good protection against deer. Also, rich kids have parties in their parents' rich houses which are in rich neighborhoods where other people might own this car.......... so yeah it might help when you're rich with this car and you're trying to get home and the kids next door are throwing a keg party and people are stumbling all over the place.

Besides, if you're filthy rich I bet you wouldn't think twice about getting it. It's a neat feature, and maybe it's standard.

Dude I'm 21.

Oh wait, you're right. I would get a written consent from the pedestrian that they are at least 18 years of age at the time of the scan.

Cadillac had a problem with their infrared technology only because it was easy for thiefs to gank the camera off the bumper.
