chip?

is there a chip out for our cars yet? my moms boyfriend wants to get me one for my b-day but i don't know if there are any out yet...

and about how much horse power would u get from one of these? like 5 hp?

what is the function of it?

No, there isnt a chip for our car yet. There are engine management systems but no real chip. The jet chip thing is where you send your computer to them and they reprogram it for you and send it back. The other things are computers that you hook up to your car and they store info for when you connect it to your home computer and then you can adjust all the settings etc...

you'd be best off going with the Jet Chip. you have to send your ECU off to them and they program it to take advantage of your mods and such. I only recommend it if you have at least i/h/e already.
