Response problems...

sup guys...

lately, i've been noticing a problem... when i press on the gas, the response is pretty slow, and the car lags a bit before it goes...
would anyone know what the problem is? i'm pretty sure it doesn't have to do anything wiht my mods...
i've got a injen cai, greddy exhaust, dc headers... any ideas why my car lags from the response? any input would be great, thanks guys...

late, slocivic

Maybe your throttle cable has stretched or loosened up some. Also, the bolt-ons allow the engine to ingest and exhale air a lot quicker. It could also be that it's sucking to much air at low rpms and bogs the engine a little until they go up and it can handle the increased airflow efficiently. The latter is my guess.

how many miles do you have on your car? if its a 97, maybe its time to get new plugs and wires or maybe clean the fuel injectors. tune up? have you reset the ECU since putting those mods on? that helps.

i had the same problem on my 99 hb, after i installed headers, the o2 sensor got a little fu*cked, my check engine light would come on sometimes during a period of hesitation, thats how i found out. does it ever get to the point were you think the engine might cut....?

i had a problem like that with my map sensor. a check valve for my turbo would not open and close fast enought so it would almost stop between shifts.
