04 STi for 22k on eBay!! Sweet deal??

This guy was like 20 minutes from my house so I went to test drive his car.
Whoa!!..lol I had never been in a car with so much power..close to 400 or so he says..the thing is a beast!
Anyways..he's gotta get rid of the car soon, says he will let it go for 22k. Clean title according to him, got a couple of scratches, many modes as you can see on eBay and only the rear struts are blown, nothing major really. Obviously it has been raced though..thing is, with 50k miles, do you guys think this still a sweet deal?

imo, the engine was ragged before it was broken in. People do this to evo's too, it is unfortunate.

Unfortunately is hard to tell to what extent a used car has been abused.

thegent is an unknown quantity at this point
From personal experience, I'm only touching one or two year old cars, stock, with some factory warranty left.

A daily car for me is "luxurious" transportation from point A to point B. I need confy seats and steering wheel, active and passive safety equipment and frugality on gas. It also needs a silky-smooth manual.

This is coming from a guy who prefers to run on steelies, because he thinks it's totally useless to run mags and/or high quality tires, and he even took his hubcaps off. As crazy and/or unconventional this may sound, it's saved his *** numerous times from cops, as they tend to pay no attention his way (black civic, no tints)

The only "mod" I have is pedal covers so I can heel and toe properly.
