my grandma has a 2000 Integra. it is 2 years old now and only has 2,000 miles, yet she has had 3 oil changes already. what a waste. she isn't allowed to drive anymore. her children (my mom, aunts, and uncles) took her license from her and told her she can't drive anymore. she has friends from her church and country club pick her up. much safer for her and those around her. my bro is trying to get the Integra for himself. hehe.

If my grandmother said something to me like that, my jaw would drop and I would probably hit the floor. I only have one alive and don't even think she would know what a civic was.

Now, my daughter's grandma drives a grand prix gtp. Fast as heck, but has had a lot of problems.

Oh yeah, sounds like you have a cool grandma..

What i think people are over looking is that our cars are really new to the market. Of course there arent any good performance parts out for our cars now...no one has really had a lot of time to come up with anything awsome. Give it time, i am confident that we can have fast cars...it will just take a while. I know that i will have well over 200hp as soon as a stroker kit comes out. 200hp on our cars is awsome. Enough to slap down on some GSR's, Preludes, and base line RSX's. Just be patient, and the parts will come.

your grandma is right. and she's darn funny. heh

dont hold your breath people on the ideas of parts coming out. the stricter emission level over just spoils a lot of things. sure HP came out with that full length header for us... but those of us in CA will be luck out since I dont think thats CARB exempt... anyway, the more I learn about my car, the more discouraging it is in the aspect of getting speed out of bolt-ons... but thats bolt-ons anyway.

if you shell out hard cash for some serious engine component replacements... I suppose you will gain speed. why not. but it sure as heck isn't going to be cheap.

personally I'll just enjoy my car's speed the way it is.

I'd rather swap in better brakes and suspension anyway.
