i was on hwy 280 and this 98 accord comes up next to em and starts checking out my ride, then he zooms past me like hes the sh it so i was like hellllllll naw...and i passed him so fast, and i could tell he was flooring it cuz i could hear that his engine screaming, i ended up getting him by 1 or 2 car lengths, but we got a red light and went again, that car aint got nothing off of the line, but it picks back up and then i came around him in about 1 sec and he was like smiling and he signaled me into the walmart parking lot where we exchanged info and that was stock...he sed that engine was 170hp, but i dont think so, does n e one know what it is?

all i have is a sri and exhaust, he had nothing, and no it didnt have dual exhaust, so it wasnt a V6, and no it wasnt a coupe...it was just a 98 4cyl, and i think that engine is only 140-50 HP...

well what accord does he have?...what has he done to it

if its a v6 then no way
an accord ex 4 cylinder is pretty heavy...but the h2.3 has got a lot of torque and with a 5spd will move
the lx accord is a little quicker b/c of the less options
the dx accord only makes 135hp (detuned h2.3)

also depends on his wheels...if he's got big 19's then it'll slow his car

it was an ex accord auto, he has done nothing to it...i actally couldnt believe i beat him, i was like...man this is gonna suck, but as soon as i pulled around him my jaw dropped i was like "kick a ss!"

i jus called the guy, his names Mat, and he moved here from cali...his accord is an EX-L its like an SULEV and its only got 145hp and 140 lbsft torque or something, ive never heard of anything like that.... u think maybe hes lying, or doesnt know what hes talking about?

The accord 4 bangars have around 150hp and any 4 cylinder model can be had with a manual. I used to have 00 accord ex-vl that had 200hp. I think a 4 accord and the civic would be a great race. Having had the v6 accord, I can tell you the civic would look like it was going backwards.

Umm yah Honda makes a DX Accord, they also have a manual in the DX, LX, and EX. The only accords that you cannot get a manual in is the VP(value package) which is basically a DX with an auto and A/C and the SE (special edition)
