uuh, I know a guy who owns a tint shop in the bay area, and when I asked about the front windshield he said "I won't do it. Thats extremely illegal. My busniess can be sued because of it"
Love the tint job, looks really cool. Most people here in AZ I have seen at the darkest have like 5% on all 5 windows. I had 32% on my front sides then I went to 22% I may here soon jump down to 13% on the front sides, still have 6% on the back 3 though, the sun is too Bright here in AZ need the darkest tint a person can get. Sweet work on the ride and the tint

Greg is right though guys, alot of people get their windsheild tinted... My dad was considering doing it because he really has a problem with brightness.
I live across the state line, but only about 12 miles from Greg, but in a COMPLETELY different state. Where I live, if I had my windshield tinted in anything darker than 50%, i'd be f*cked.

shazbot, thats hella sweet tint... most cops around here don't have time to pull over front window tinters, they can issue a ticket for it, and if you get in an accident, you'll be found partially or wholly at fault even if it isn't your fault... unless the tint was installed at the factory on every single other model like it. just like if someone hits you when you're yacking on a cellphone - you'll be found partially at fault. Anyways, thats in BC... so I didn't dare putting tint on my front windows and the windshield is really out of the question
Ive wanted to tint my front for a while,, though - it must be sooooo sweet cruising around in it

In my state windshield tinting is ok as long as you have medical excuse saying that the brightness of other cars headlights effects your driving and I have one so they cant mess with me. I have been to court before because the dumbazz cop thought that he knew all the laws so he gave me a ticket but he was wrong and I won. So that once again shows that most cops dont even know the laws.

yeah here in bc, it's illegal for front window tint and definitely windshield tint...
but regarding the insurance thing
that's one of the many first few questions the insurance adjusters ask you about " how was the visibility? "
and i'm sure if you have any tint and insurance companies down there are anything like they are here..they'll probably see you have tint..and use it as just cause for dinging you ... cuz if get in an accident. someone who has tint against someone who doesn't...it looks pretty darned grim for the person with the tint to get a "no fault" ruling.

13% window tint on the windshield. You're brain dead and so is any person who will even install it. It is not a matter of MIGHT get in a wreck it is WHEN. ~ And every tinter has heard it before "no way dude.. I am like a totally good driver... I can see like an owl at night." Yeah. Ok. Whatever.
YES, it looks good... always will.. but it is an incredibly stupid stupid thing to do!! WHEN you DO get in a wreck... even if it's NOT your fault... YOU WILL NOT BE FOUND TO CARRY NO FAULT!!!! I dont care WHERE you live, NO state or country will allow that dark of film with even the medical exemption. None.
