Hmmm....What do you think?
I like it. I really miss the versatility my Pontiac Vibe had, but this is a *edit*hatch*edit* with some JUICE.

that kind of power would be great! but 280lb/ft would be a bit difficult to handle with only front wheel drive.

True but it comes with an LSD. Won't that calm the torque steer?

yes, and no........... lets say youre coming out of a corner in 1st gear, or 2nd..... you mash the pedal, both front wheels will spin and you'll still have understeer. But I could be wrong.... but any more power and this thing may become more and more of a non-daily driver.

YUL has a spectacular aura aboutYUL has a spectacular aura about
I wish they would offer it in the sedan trim so it would look like a mini Evo or STI. I like my 3i but I never liked the 3s hatchback trim.

I dont like the hatch... But it'll smoke the cobalt SS and SRT-4 out of the water IMO
The 3 is a much more refined car, and has more potential

But what do you guys think about the new Caliber SRT-4? 300+ hp out a front-wheeled box. Sounds crazy, stupid and disgusting to me.

At least the MS3 is a Mazda. They know how to handle handling. No pun intended.

It's Japanese, not American.

I'd like to test drive one of these things when they are released and see how it compares to the Mazda 3 GT sitting my garage right now. I'm hoping they'll maintain the smoothness and handling of the present 3. Mazda seems to know handling, but I don't know about so much FWD power, I pray to God they change the engine mounts, my 3 has quite a bit of axle tramping and thats only at 160hp. They really should make it AWD, relive the 323GTX days...

The Mazda 3 is a nice car. Personally though, I just don't care for the looks.

i think it looks awesome. especialy compared to the other things they sell in europe right now. i was in greece this summer and good looking cars were few and far between. I saw that damn toyota Yaris done up on every street i turned onto.

looks compact and sleek. certainly not a north american car though...

I agree. The Mazdaspeed 6 is AWD and it is really fast! Take 300-400lbs off of that, add AWD, and this car should be a bullet right off the showroom floor!
