thanks for helping prove me right neo!
you know, im kinda bothered with HONDA about a lil matter. what the hell is the point by making so many god damn ENGINES for one freekin car!?!?!? its like... why cant they just have VTEC in all of the civics?!?! i know its all relative to market competition and money making, but i think its a joke. plus im a lil PISSED still that the dealer who sold me my car told me that the LX was VTEC. oh well, my own fault for not doin the research before i bought it..... if i had been smarter, i wouldve waited for the RSX, but even more of my own fault...... BLAH BLAH BLAH, now im just rambling....
My dealership told me the same thing. They said it is a VTEC but it is not stamped on the motor. I felt like an idiot
when I got home and did the research. Of course my civic started out as my wife's car and she did not car. Then well my little
boy will be here in about 6 weeks and we need something different. So I got her a 01 Toyota 4-Runner and I kept the Civic.
Now I wish I had a 2000 ex or si. There is so much more you can do to them!!!
Serioulsy I still love my car.

<< K20C is still an RSX I-Vtec. Isnt the K20C gonna be in the new SI?
Isnt K20C2 the RSX-R engine code? >>
Answer to both questions: NO!!
Base RSX/Civic Si: K20A3
RSX Type S: K20A2
JDM Integra(RSX) Type R: K20A(1?)
All are K20A. The only one im not sure bout is the civic type R, but i think its just a K20A2 with a different tranny.

K20C is some bull$hit code someone came up with cuz they didnt know the right one. Focus Killer is right.
K20A - JDM Type R
K20A2 - USDM Type S
K20A3 - Base RSX
The Si's isnt determined yet- it has less torque than the RSX base so im assuming maybe K20A4...ill see when I go to the dealer the 28th.
Hey Neo let me know if it's actually there on the 28th. All of my local dealers here in Tampa have told me the release date was pushed back 'till May or June
Why people think the K20C existsThe car doesn't even look the same, but i think this is what caused all the confusion.

<< but the Integra's i-VTEC will be the K20C. >>
article was obviously published during protype stages look at the pic of the engine

It's undenyable, all you have to do is look at the code stamped on the engine: K20A2.
