lcd setup question
i bought this on ebay

so i have a ps one.. u know those mini ones i'd like to hook up... a graphic analyzer for music would be nice.... i'm thinking of stuffing the ps one into my glove box... and somehow get this screen on my car somewhere, suggestions anyone? also theres another one of these being sold on ebay by the same guy... a lot of his other lcd screens are laptop pulls so the sides look nasty, this one isnt specified where its from, i hope that second pic is an lcd controller... but i need RCA inputs [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/IMG]

and yes it'll make my car fly... now all it takes is creativity... gps possibility etc... i already have a mp8017 in dash mp3 player... if i can somehow put that in the cig lighter, put the screen where the radio goes.. well its 10 inches nevermind that could be too big.... maybe i'll just have it come up from the side of my seat... yea i'll probably do that.... anyways anyone with some background knowledge on lcds

Rep Power: 0 Hmm...I don't know if you noticed or not, but the second pic is just the back of the monitor. I don't see how the hell you're gonna hook that up. If you have some serious electronics skills, you might be able to rig something up...but I dunno. Maybe you can take it to a good computer shop in your area and see if they can do anything for you as far as adapting it to work with RCA inputs. [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/IMG]

It's an LCD screen that is used to connect to computers. They are primarly used for in car computers. To run that thing, you need to buy a controller card, backlight inverter. That runs about $350 shiped (I just bought one). I'll take it off your hands if you don't feel like $350 to run it.

Once you get the controller card, then you have to get a computer to hook it up to! It's a lot of work, and money but I'm doin it! I spent about $1500 on my setup with my carputer. Pics coming soon

Rep Power: 0 Call them up, and ask them. They'll ask for what kind of screen you have (Model number, and brand) and they'll redirect you to the right kind. You have to buy a kit which usually runs for about $300...
