my 1/8th scale dash lambo diablo/nissan skyline/honda civic(i love lexan bodies) I had juiced up to hit 28mph according to the speed limit things that you see sitting on the street sometimes. and that was in a measured 60ft from 0. what would that equal in real times?
I thought RB Concept might have come out with a .25 and thats what this was going to be about. I haven't been in the RC scene for years, but RB was a big player in the nitro car engine market. Daughter/sister/cousin company of Novarossi (darn good engine maker).
Boohoo.. got my hopes up for nothing.

dude you really should do that!!
Hey gizcivic, do you have a 2 speed trans on your cars? I have an HPI Nitro with a high performance air filter and it was clocked at 49 mph. That was with the throttle wide open.
I am think of selling it so if anyone is interested I can send you some pics, let me know. I have 2 Civic bodies and a Skyline. I never get a chance to run it so its a waste for me to keep it around.

That is no bullshit. Not talking about TOYS, but real hobbyists who race and invest $$$ into the cars (as I had a long time ago)... Many competition nitro cars would kill a regular civic for a 1-3 block run.
(talking about competition, high end nitro cars)
Hotrod 1/8 scale buggie would almost definitly take a civic for 1 block
1/8 onroad car would destroy a civic 1 - 3 blocks, MAYBE 4 depending on numerous factors
some 1/10 touring might be able to do it for one block.. I think most 1/10 just run out of gear and would get caught.
professional level 1/8 onroad cars are plain unreal though. You can't imagine the acceleration, handling and speed of these cars unless you've seen them.
Many kiddies will bullshit you and say thier R/C car can go xxxx whatever MPH, but some really are seriously fast. Guys with the best stuff usually only run the cars on specially prepared race tracks, where pavement is super smooth and often times has traction-adding fluids sprayed down. Public streets are not an option for most real onroad nitro cars. Too many little cracks, pebbles, dirt/dust ect.
