I think most states do send something out in the mail that tells you how much your fine is & where to pay it at. In Florida we get the amount of the fine written on the back of the ticket by the cop issuing the ticket & then we can go to any circuit court clerks office around the county & pay it or we can request a court date if we wanna contest the ticket. If the cop wrote a court date on your ticket you SHOULD be able to pay it by that date & time & not go to court, not 100% positive on that though.

I got a ticket for going 87 in a 55 while my licence was suspended and all I got was a $100 fine and traffic safety school![IMG]i/expressions/laugh2.gif[/IMG]

I say take it like a man and pay the ticket. Here in Florida, you would not get pulled over for doing 80 on the Interstate unless you are driving recklessly or maybe through a construction area. shoot, I do 90 most of the time and people still pass me.

Quotas? hahahaha .... Quotas are illegal. It's not quotas that make cops pull everyone over, It's the fact that they realize they have power over everyday citizens & they are addicted to that power & use it to its fullest extent. It's not quotas

Althought that maybe illegal, the fact is that some of the cop's performance is base on the amount of ticket they write , and I heard this that sometimes they must meet a certain amount of ticket they need to write. cause u know....the fines...even thought it states that it goes to help other stuff..bascially goes to the police.

In the Academy they teach you that if you enforce the law to the letter, you will be able to write a traffic citation every 5 minutes, & any Dept. that gives bonuses based on how many tickets a cop writes will be subject to all kinds of penalties.
