yeah, its called being a ricer. it defies logic. To the guys talking about high revving V8s sucking, the new Z06 vette has a 7L V8 with a 7000 RPM redline that makes 500HP from the factory. It's SO detuned that they threw on a cam and header and when they dyno tuned it it picked up almost 100HP. That's a street cam with smog legal headers. It also gets 17MPG in the city and 24 on the highway...kinda like a stock NSX with half the power.

You could make a turbo v8 a high revver also, and i think that sounds way cooler than an NA high revving v8. Just my .02.
I'm not talking about a old ,low tech v8. I was refering to a high tech powerplant. Lets say that honda was to make a high tech v8, 4 liter, vtec. Atleast 400 hp and 250+ tq. then put it in a s2000.

But lets just stop imagining and say that honda will always refuse to build a v8.....

if Honda made a V8 it would be 2.5 Liters, rev to 10,000 RPMs make 50 inch-ounces of torque and have Sequential Unused Cylinder Knockout (SUCK) to conserve fuel. It would run in 2 cylinder mode unless the engine was warm, the oil pressure was right, it was full throttle and you were racing a domestic.

I'm just joking guys- long live the D17
