Matching interior with fiberglass part.

Hey everyone, ok im taking a panel off the car and fiberglassing a screen into it. After I have done all of that I have a piece that is half fiberglass and still half plastic, how do I make it match the interior, or how do i make it blend in? I heard people say paint it black, then use truck bedding spray on it, I have tried that approach but it really doesnt do that great of a job. Any other suggestions? Thanks everyone.

There is a texture spray you can use which ive done before that looks decent, then you paint ontop of that. If you are flushing a monitor in then vinyl is generally out of the question and vinyl usually requires a bit of skill.

Just make sure when you go to paint it that it is perfectly smooth otherwise it will look like crap, thats probably why youve been disappointed in past experiences.

When you paint it you will probably want to use vinyl dye. Vinyl dye is in a can like spraypaint and works the same, but the end result is much different.
Unlike normal paint, vinyl dye seeps into the plastic, making it looks like the piece you made was manufactured in color. If sprayed on properly it will look like it came that way. Only hard part is finding a can close to your interior color.
