The last Si: Yay or Nay?
Now that the new Si is out, What did you think about the last Si (hatch)?

Did Honda fvck up by not giving us a coupe version Si for the 7thgen? I think I would've been a lot more happy with that one instead of trying to buy a new one.

I think it would of been cool for that option of a Coupe Si. But they switched it back on us, the Euros get the Hatchback 06 Si whereas we obviously don't...
I hate the 7thgen si. I started to like it then i noticed a 57 year old lady at my work had one and I asked her why she got it. her reply "its like a little cute minivan and its kinda zippy" sorry but it shouldnt look like a 95 lumina minivan

a coupe version would have been cool for an Si. why not both? i wish they offered the hatch as a normal car like they have in past years as opposed to just the Si. if so, I would be driving a hatch! I LIKE IT! I WANT IT!
I like the look of the 5-lug 7thgen Si with the restyled front and rear lights.
The first couple of years really did look like a mini-minivan.
It may only be a tick faster than an Ex coupe thanks to weight but with money anything can be made to go fast.
I'd be happy with an Si hatch + JC SC.

if you want your own coupe si, swap the motor and tranny, better off and not having to buy th funky 06. at least you can get a better motor this way by swapping out a motor and all and get more power rather than be stuck on a huge dealership payment. get a K20a or K20a2. better off that way imo.

Yeah, but there's nothing like driving a "new" car.
Last years Si is awsome. But I'd have to go with the 06 becuase..
Its 197HP..and it has LSD.
Now, if last years Si was anything like the Japanese Civic Type R. I'd hit that instead. 215HP..mmmm...6 speed...mmmm...

But they had to give us a downgraded version. POOO

I always liked the 6th gen civic. The 7th gen was new and appealing, but the hatch si was appauling and veered me away from the purchase of a civic for 3-4 years. The new coupe is nice imo, but they should stop changing the freaking lights. The new lights look like a high tech version of the 6th gen.

I like the 7thgen Si a lot, with the type-r kit and gold rims in white or black, it looks tight!!!!!!!!!!, but I was thinking it would look a lot better with our 04-05 front end.

I regret not test driving the SI... hatch appeals to me for better bass.. and more power would be nice.. however, i'd instantly want new rims, possibly lip kit, and of course atleast a 1" drop.. if not more. but if i was doin it all over again, i'd prolly get the SI, SC it and budget my stereo.

Car needs new suspension, new spoiler.
Otherthan that, It was nice upgrade from 02 Ex for me.
Hondata reflash, cai, full coilovers, new tires = fun daily drive car.

I love the way my car stands today.
Stock si is ugly.
Modified one?

For sure they screw up with the naming convention in the US. The US simply got the normal hatch of europe honda and call it SI.
hatch has always been for type-R, in canada the naming is closer to that with the SI-R.
and SI has always been coupe, and that has been true in canada.
