Rep Power: 396 What does the Venom 400 do exactly? I know that it's a little computer that controls certain things (fuel is probably on this list), but I don't know much more than that.

Rep Power: 0 actually it's suppose to increase your hosepower UP to 25%
i dont' think it's abad investment
the only con I've heard about it is that you can't adjust anything
i'd like to the what this new AEM ECU can do
and i'm lookin into a JET Vforce.
SuperStreet did a test on a ACCord a couple years back and it had a 12 horsepower increase
8 lbs of torque
...all it is really doin is re-mappin everything and burning more fuel
but you go faster...and that's all that matters
o.. and i haven't heard any numbers(+/- hp torque) from putting the Venom module
has anybody else?

Rep Power: 0 I had a Venom 400 on my 2000 V6 Tacoma and it wasn't noticeable until you hit 3/4 open throttle. With a truck it definitely was not worth the money but with a Civic it might be okay since it likes the higher rev's.
My understanding is that when you hit a certain RPM, it adjusts the air and fuel mixture to provide more power.
Easy install.

Rep Power: 0 The Venom 400 is complete and total crap. (at least for the 2GNT) - the ONLY thing it adjusts is the TPS voltage. it makes the ECU think you are giving it more throttle than you are, but at WOT - it does absolutely nothing. If you were to dyno it, you'd see peak HP gains of absolutely nothing, unless you dyno at partial throttle.

Rep Power: 0 Its supposed to improve power in the 1000-5000 rpm range...if I wanna go fast, I dont spend any time below the 5000rpm mark anyways.
And yes it is like a SAFC, but its not adjustable, it has 'tuned' fuel maps when its turned on, it says up to 25% power increase, maybe on a Viper or something, not a 1.7L Civic.
Im sorry to hear that it sucks, test it out at the track and see if there is much 1/4 mile ET difference.
