under 22k
well none of you prob know but i just got into a accident recently and my vic is probably totaled. the insurance lady called and said i should shop around for cars b/c shes 90% positive its gone. it only had 10k miles on it too... only drove it for 5 months b/c i didnt have a license for 6 months and the axle i snapped... but anyway, my rents are letting me use the check and whatever money i add onto the check to buy a NEW car. requirements are:
-AUTOMATIC (yes yes, i said it. my parents cant drive stick
)
-Easier to pull out gains from than a D17
-Car that will last atleast 3 years with "spirited" driving (when i say spirited driving i dont mean those neutral drops or neutral launches or any other stupid things people do with auto trannys)
-A sporty car, 2dr or 4dr
-Must be 22k OUT THE DOOR w/ TAGS AND ALL
-MUST BE NEW
ive limited them down to an auto RSX 2006, 2004 IS300, 2004 Impreza WRX, and maybe a tC... any other suggestions are welcome

Firstly, why does it matter that your parents can't drive stick if it's your car?
Secondly, you have in caps that it "MUST BE NEW," so why do you have a 2004 IS300 and 2004 WRX on the list?
Ok, now onto the new choices... (I'm not even saying I like all these cars, but they are all in the same basic category so I'll go over them.)

- The RSX-S has an MSRP of $23,845 (not including TTL) so that's out of the question.
- The '06 Si has an MSRP of $19,990. Depending on the tax rate and such, you might be able to squeak under your $22,000 with this car.
- A Mazda 3's highest MSRP is $19,165, which puts it at a slight price advantage to the Si.
- A Mini Cooper S has an MSRP of 20,600, which might put it in the same boat as the Si of not making it OTD for under $22,000.
- The '06 Mitsubishi Eclipse has an MSRP of $19,399 - again, might be a problem getting OTD for 22k.
- The MSRP for a Nissan Altima 2.5 is $17,650 and it's $19,500 for the 2.5S
- The Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec-V MSRPs for $18,200.
- The Saturn Ion Redline Coupe MSRPs for $19,425.
- The Scion TC MSRPs for $16,200.
- The Subaru Impreza 2.5i MSRPs for $18,295.
- The VW GTi 1.8T MSRPs for $20,340.
I don't think 2006 si is a option. I believe that it is only offered with a manual tranny. However if I were in your boat I would get the Scion with the factory lip kit. Then with the little you have left maybe wheels & a drop.

-when i meant new i meant that it couldnt have been off the lot
-it has to be auto b/c we only have 1 other car currently and its been acting funny so my parents have to be able to drive it
Curiouz, how are you gonna say that manual is required and must be a new yet you list a RSX-S (which only comes in manual) and a 2004 IS300, 2004 Impreza WRX when these cars would clearly not be new right now for under $22k.

-First off, i said AUTO is required
-Secondly, i said RSX, not RSX type S. theres a big difference btwn the two
-Thirdly, ive already been to a couple of lots around here that sell the 2004 WRX and 2004 IS300 for cheap b/c they are trying to get rid of them b/c the new IS350 and IS250 have come out and the new bug eyes have come out. Look at our 7thgen civics at the Honda dealership. They are dirt cheap currently b/c they need to make room for the newer models. They are losing money if they dont sell them fast b/c technically they dont own the cars.

pimp out the is300 and forget about performance mods. 9 times out of ten a manual version of the same car would easily kill the auto version.
