It's true. 2006 is the last year of the RSX. Acura will be focusing more on cars like it's TL and RL, and they are even thinking about removing the TSX. That new NSX is pretty much their last sports car. The Si is basically going to be the replacement.

yep its gonna be a ghost soon, they are getting rid of it to make an rsx usspec type r which will be over 300hp awd with a price tag well over 40,000 grand. They are trying to get away from tuner cars and more towards the luxery end of things.
I don't blame them considering their luxury brand image and they have magazines comparing the rsx-s to a chevy cobalt ss or a saturn ion. given, the rsx-s wins in overall rating, it's still a knock to acura to have one of their cars compared to them.

honda is going more towards the luxery side to. Why do you think they are putting dvd and nav in all the new cars including the si. I don't care I got my em2 and am happy with what ive done and going to do. If I ever get a new car Im going to evolutionimports.com and getting me a jspec rhd car of some sort. They got integra r brand new for 27,000 grand I think. But maybe I'll sway away from honda and get the baby skyline but with all the money Ive put in my em2 and plan on with the swap and stuff Ill probaly just end up keeping her for a long time.

the 40,000 price tag was just an estimate I read about. They said the new infiniti skyline gtr was going to be around 60,000 but now heard it will be even more. The new acura rsx type r is going to be more of a lxery car than the tuner car so thats why the article or tv show I saw was saying the 40,000 grand price tag, when it does finaly come out it might be even more. You gotta remember awd over 300 ponies, it might have been 350hp can't rember but I don't think its gonna be less than 35 grand for the car.

Saturn Ion Redline coupe - 19425 I4 205hp 23/29mpg
Acura RSX-S coupe - 23845 I4 201hp 23/31mpg
Now, if you're too fvcking stupid to put those numbers together and figure out that all these cars are in the same category, go hump your Honda a little bit more. I swear you have to be the biggest Honda fanboy I've seen on this site in a long time.
You're trying to make it seem as if you're using some logic, but your ideas are based on NOTHING except the fact that you're in love with your underpowered econobox... which isn't even on par with those three cars listed above.

Easy man, I see his point, they are all tuner cars, doesnt matter what the power source is, they are all still in the same class regardless. ease up man. Theres no need to get all puffed up about it

Stupid. The RSX-S, Spec-V, Cobalt SS, SRT-4, Ion Redline, Mazdaspeed Protege, GTI are all in the same class. Regardless of NA or FI. They are compared to one another constantly. Why? They are all FWD economy cars with a little bit of *****. I don't care how much you love Honda, the RSX-S is still in the same class and SHOULD be compared to all these cars. Fact of the matter is, considering the cars it's usually compared with, the RSX-S is pretty overpriced.
The WRX is AWD, with a more advanced drivetrain, turbocharged boxer engine. It's a step, albeit small step above these cars.
Anyway, the RSX-S really has no place anymore with the introduction of the new SI. It always has been a civic based sporty FWD coupe, and Honda penny pinchers will be happy to see that they can combine two markets and make the new SI a little more upscale and satisfy both demographics.
Anyways, Majin B I think I was the first to call you the biggest Honda fanboy I had seen, and you never cease to amaze me with your ridiculous fanboy logic.

if i have to explain how a saturn is a POS compared to a type S then your stupid.
So is it that the Saturn has an inferior engine compared to the Acura? No. In fact, it has more power.
Is it that the Saturn won't last as long as the Acura? No. In fact, Saturns last about the same length of time/number of miles.
Is it that you act like Honda/Acura is the best car manufacturer ever to grace this planet and that God, Himself, on the eighth day made Honda? That's a viable option.

Now, to disprove more of your "logic," the example you gave before with the Civic and the SRT-4 is completely dissimilar to your talking about the comparison between the three cars originally in question. The SRT-4 has around 100hp more and could quantifiably win in a drag race. I can quantifiably prove that the SRT-4 is a better car for drag racing. This is a completely moot point.
This makes it your time to quantifiably prove that the Saturn is a POS compared to the Acura - or even that the cars with almost identical numbers and audiences aren't in the same category. When forming your argument, remember that I'm stupid (hell, I don't even know why the Saturn is inferior to the Acura!) so be clear and precise.
Fanboy.
You are only partially correct in saying that 06 is the last year of the RSX.
06 is the last year of the *first-gen* RSX. The RSX is getting redesigned for 07. Those who say Acura will drop the RSX... that's incorrect. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to cite "inside sources"--not from car dealers but from a more reputable source. Car dealers only get info to sell cars, and they're not a very reliable source.

Redesign yes, but i speculate it wont be the Integra anymore, but probably a design by Acura in itself, for example the new TL, a car made by north america, sold only in north america. The previous TL model was in fact the Honda Inspire sold in Japan. Then it got redesigned and it is now sold in North America as the Accord. And if you look at the Accord now, it just doesnt make the cut as for what Acura is trying to make their cars look like, so of coarse, they had to design their own !
So in a sense, if people look at the RSX now as the Integra, then yes it is being discontiued in north america, becuase its going to be replaced by something designed by Acura, and not just a rebadged Honda. I hope that makes sense, and i have a strong feeling thats going to happen.
But who knows? I could be wrong, but..its just my intuition. Acura is becoming very strong, and they are fully capable of designing their own models. Like the TL, a beautiful car..i liked the CL as well..too bad they had to get rid of that.
I hope you guys got what i was trying to say. Replacing the current RSX with an Acura designed car instead of Japans Integra.
oh god, my post is pretty confusing. lol..but i suck at grammer..and english putting it together and stuff. ^^
