1973 Chevrolet Nova Value
My wifes great Uncle Sal Passed away, and we are in charge of cleaning out his house and stuff, and selling his house. I am looking for a website that will tell me the value of his car. My wifes dad asked me to search.
I believe it is a 1973 Chevrolet Nova. It is a 6 Cylinder. It is in Perfect Condition. Looks as if it just rolled out of the showroom. It has 23,000 original Miles. Her uncle was the original owner too.
I trien edmunds.com and kbb.com but they dont go back that far. I also looking on hemmings website but they dont say anything about the value of a car.
Does anyone know a site I can try?
Thanks,
Scott

Nah $10000 is too much. Its a 6 cylinder. But the car looks as if it just rolled out of the showroom. It was always garaged.
The house and everything in it belongs to my wife and her sister and her brother. So we are going to go through the house, take what we want....Throw out a lot, because he saved everything....Sell the car. I wanted it but my father in law wants to sell it. And then finally clean the house and put it up on the market.

I would say eBay it, or if you can get ahold of a Hemmings, check in there, that should give you some ideas. Being only a 6 cyl. hurts it but if the body is solid, would make a great car for someone to drop a small block in.
What is it with old people and chevy novas...when my great grandma died my cousin got hers...don't know what year, just know it was in the 70's, and it had something like 25k miles on it?!..crazy...
Keep it and turn it into one of these:

Minus the Civic seats of course

My SL65 rim, because a rim is all I can afford

Let's see, it's '73, so it is probably a hatchback right? Those are not that desirable because they only have a half frame, to mouch torque and snap goes the body. But the orginality of the car will jack the value up. Ebay would not be my choice, I'm not sure about in NY, but here in Ohio there is a mag called Muscle car that has cars just like that for sale. Ebay will rape you, specially if the buyer uses paypal. I sold a $1500 laptop about 3 months ago and paid almost $90 in fees, and their rates are % of the total selling and orginal asking price. So for a car, you will be raped, and paypal takes about another 3% or so. I would go with a newpaper and mag like Muscle Car Trader or something. However you should no that this is probably the worst time of year to sell a classic car like that.

I was thinking of putting it in hemmings.....more over ebay.
I know its not a good time but we dont have anywhere to keep the car, because the house is going to be put up for sale soon.....
