Paint that doesn't scratch - Nissan...
If this stuff really works, I'd buy a black car! Then again..it'd have to be a Nissan.
Scratchless paint
Scratchless paint
There seems to be all these advancements in paint that don't seem to trickle down to cars for ages and ages: scratchless paint, paint that never rust, paint that never delaminated, paint that never loses brilliance, etc etc.. It doesn't seem to have materialized, the best cars seem to have gotten are metal-flake paints with clear coats that wind up costing a premium over the 'regular' colours.

i've painted many cars before and it really does matter what quality your products are...i've used PPG paints and clears and those arent always the best....DuPont has pretty high quality paints and clearcoat but its a little pricey...of course the best of paints and clears is House of Kolor, Sikkens, and Standox which are some of the best i've used...but that paint nissan developed is extra hard which prevents micro scratching from abrasive materials....only reason you see those premium cars like bently's and whatnot without swirl marks is because after a wash they are dried with microfiber towels and than usually polished...i dont polish my car very often but when i do it looks like glass on the paint

But seriously, I AM looking for someone to paint my truck. Properly.
I also saw something recently about a nano-particle paint. It won't chip or scratch to begin with. Of course we'll never see it on regular cars. It would last too long, cost too much, (maybe) and hurt the paint shop industry.
