For some reason, I like it. I think it'd be a fun car to start from scratch with instead of an Si. I'd definately buy one as a 2nd car to use as a beater/weekend-get-stupid car. You could swap the engine easily and have a lot of fun from there.

Rep Power: 295 makes me kinda think that the k20 might have been meant for our cars, and the d17 for the hatch.
based on: fuel efficiency competition back then (civic vs. prius)
insight is a hatch. why not make civic hatch that's fuel efficient?
and other things similar to that...

Rep Power: 0 I wouldnt hate on the EP1 too much folks. Dynax got 97HP and 100lb/ft with basic mods. The EP1 (and EP2) are not just good on Fuel (UK prices £3.40/$5.90 a Gallon) it is good on insurance being Group 4. BTW EP2 is Group 6 and Type-R is Group 18.
Here are some insurance quotes for the Type-R
http://www.insurancequotes.org.uk/qu...odels/?m=civic
Those premiums are yearly in Pounds times by about 1.7 for Dollars. The fourth column marked Pts is speeding points each speeding ticket in UK is 3 points or more hit 12 and no driving for 2 years. Points last for 3 years. If banned then that is on licence for 5 years. High points or ban showing on licence then most Insurance companies wont cover and the ones that do will charge a lot more.
