Since my 4th or 5th oil change I have always used Synthetic Oil in my car. And now I have around 31,000 miles and shes running smooth as when I bought her. I just figuered if I have a civic's redline at around 7,000 rpm I might as well buy the good oil. My oil changes are like $70 each time but whatever.

I'm positive it doesn't matter what kind of engine it is .. whether D16, D17, K20, B16, whatever ... intake air temps are intake air temps... not referring to ambient air temps either.
if you think MY sources are not credible, gearbox has said it himself.
