Well this morin i was on my way to work and i got on the highway and it felt pretty dam fast for some reason. 2nd and 3rd pulled hard. 4th a lil too...Is it becoase i just got a oil change? I needed one, i was 1000 over.

so this time instead of getting what the motor requires i got synth. car feels better and seems to be running somewhat better. my 04 has 72,000.

Since my 4th or 5th oil change I have always used Synthetic Oil in my car. And now I have around 31,000 miles and shes running smooth as when I bought her. I just figuered if I have a civic's redline at around 7,000 rpm I might as well buy the good oil. My oil changes are like $70 each time but whatever.

for every 10F degree drop in intake air temps, you gain 3% hp

sorry, 15F ... not 10. Still...

http://www.hondata.com/heatshieldgasket.html

I'm positive it doesn't matter what kind of engine it is .. whether D16, D17, K20, B16, whatever ... intake air temps are intake air temps... not referring to ambient air temps either.

if you think MY sources are not credible, gearbox has said it himself.

that's understandable, but still...3% hp increase? and what is your "constant" temperature? would it be room temp?

I don't think there is any constant. Just based on IAT variation

I would have to concur. Any vehicle for that matter runs WAY better when cool and crisp.
